Hi myco family,
Today’s Mycopreneur Incubator will be at 12 pm EST / 9 am PST to accommodate for European guests who have expressed interest in joining. This is a low-key, cost-free online networking and mentorship hub for mushroom entrepreneurs, researchers, advocates and enthusiasts.
The invite to today’s Incubator is here:

Colorado Psychedelic Cup

The Colorado Psychedelic Cup returns to Denver on Sunday, November 1st at Baldoria on the Water. This is the event you want to be part of if you’re looking for the cutting edge of mushroom analytical potency testing, the psychedelic product landscape, and the movers and shakers moving the needle on psychedelic science and culture in a community framework.
You like data? Here’s a slice of what was gathered last year:

Or how about this one?

Imagine this level of mushroom science paired with a lively community of brilliant people and companies congregating together to contextualize it.
Shoutout to regular Mycopreneur Incubator attendees Chris Pauli and Ian Bollinger of Tryptomics, the testing lab behind the data collection and curation.
Ojai Mushroom Summit

The Ojai Mushroom Summit is coming up next week, and I’ll be out there alongside a host of others building out the magic together. There will be hands-on mushroom cultivation workshops, an educational seminar on microdosing, a Koji masterclass, earth building workshop, a live comedy show I’m doing Saturday night at the Ojai Playhouse with Bob Johnson, and much, much more

During an investor meeting earlier this week, biopharma giant and leading psychedelic drug commercial manufacturer Compass Pathways announced that they intend to roll out their proprietary crystalline polymorph psilocybin asset ‘COMP360’ through the network of providers already offering the FDA-approved SPRAVATO (esketamine) ketamine drug, with a price tag in the same $50,000 - $65,000 ballpark for a single course of treatment.
They also shared that roughly 88% of that price tag is allocated towards the drug itself, with around $2700 earmarked for the anticipated ancillary services like preparation and integration. Finally we can all stop pretending like any of this ‘Psychedelic Renaissance TM’ business was ever about anything other than corporate capture, and that the safety profile of the drug itself is anything other than extremely safe.
We can also stop pretending like the disinformation and scaremongering around psilocybin that continues to see it classified as a Schedule I substance under the Controlled Substances Act is anything other than a shameful and deliberate lie by the establishment to protect their attempted medical and information monopoly.
“But won’t this mean mushrooms are legal soon?”
Not necessarily, and actually highly unlikely: There is strong commercial incentive for players attempting to protect their IP to advocate for Bifurcated Scheduling, which effectively means the patented, commercial versions of psilocybin owned by biopharma companies would be legal through a strictly regulated, extremely costly medical pathway while psilocybin mushrooms and other forms of synthetic psilocybin themselves remain under the most restrictive category on the Controlled Substances Act.
Fortunately, if you don’t have $60,000 laying around or an insurance plan that’s going to cover, which is giant open-ended question because ‘Approval Does Not Equal Access’, you can tap in with our partners at Full Canopy Genetics and invest in developing your own research protocol.
Global Psychedelic Week
Speaking of corporate biopharma giants, we’ve just announced that the keynote for this year’s Global Psychedelic Week November 2-8 is none other than Christian Angermayer, early major backer of Compass Pathways and Co-Founder of AtaiBeckley which recently completed the largest deal in psychedelic history with their $2.8 billion acquisition by Eli Lilly in a deal potentially worth up to $3.8 billion.
He’ll be in conversation with my Global Psychedelic Week Co-Founder Milica Radovic Mandic of Bizdelics, who I must always give credit to as the major driving force and key organizer behind Global Psychedelic Week. I consider it an honor to be part of the team and billed as a co-organizer and co-founder of this project as it continues to grow.
We also have 44 confirmed in-person events and counting, with host cities and states including Beirut, Lebanon 🇱🇧, Tamil Nadu, India 🇮🇳, Lisbon, Portugal 🇵🇹, Cotopaxi, Ecuador 🇪🇨 and many more including the Phoenix Rising Psychedelic Speakeasy I’m co-hosting in Nashville on November 5
The full line-up will be announced this week, with many more people around the world involved.

Speaking of the Phoenix Rising Psychedelic Speakeasy in Nashville on November 5, this event I’m co-hosting was just profiled in High Times this week:
Ok, I’m quite sure 100 other things happened this week and there’s so much I missed here, but I need to start messaging people that the Incubator time slot has been moved up this week to accommodate for a VIP special guest that you won’t want to miss.
I’ve also got a bunch of in-person events I’m participating in and hosting over the next month, ranging from the Ojai Mushroom Summit this week to the Microdosing Summit in Austin on October 21 to the Mycopreneur Happy Hour official pre-party for the Mark Farina and Nutritious show at ZeyZey in Miami on October 31st to Phoenix Rising Psychedelic Speakeasy in Nashville to the Atlanta Mushroom Festival on November 15. If you’re near any of these places hit me up and let’s boogie.
See you at the Incubator today,
Dennis
