A groundbreaking new study published today has found that people can experience psilocybin mushrooms and return to their regularly scheduled lives without launching a podcast, becoming a spiritual entrepreneur, or making their entire social media presence about the trip.

The findings have sent shockwaves through the psychedelic community, where experts estimate that up to 95% of mushroom experiences are followed by at least one unsolicited Instagram carousel.

“We followed 200 participants for six months after a moderate psilocybin experience,” explained lead researcher Dr. Amanda Cubes. “Several reported profound insights into their relationships, mortality, and place in the universe. Remarkably, none felt compelled to start a coaching business.”

Even more surprising, researchers found that some participants never mentioned their experiences publicly, continued working ordinary jobs, and resisted the temptation to describe themselves as “walking between worlds” in their dating profiles.

Industry representatives have questioned the study's methodology, noting that participants were not offered affiliate codes for mushroom supplements or invited to speak at a premium-priced consciousness summit.

At press time, one participant had reportedly experienced ego dissolution without subsequently developing a personal brand.

Their Instagram account remains private.

Researchers say further studies are needed to determine whether this behavior can survive exposure to LinkedIn.
