BLACK ROCK CITY, Nev. — In what organizers are calling a groundbreaking fusion of radical self-expression and enterprise-grade surveillance infrastructure, Palantir is reportedly preparing to debut a new data center-themed camp at this year’s Burning Man.
The camp, tentatively called “Foundry”, will feature a fully immersive recreation of a hyperscale AI facility, complete with humming server racks, industrial cooling systems and a data-display LED dance floor capable of supporting 300 people at a time.
According to a Palantir spokesperson, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because only Palantir is allowed to know everything about everyone and not the other way around, the camp will allow Burners to “experience the liberating feeling of having their consciousness transformed into actionable data.”
Visitors will reportedly be invited to submit their playa movements, drug preferences, and romantic entanglements to a centralized dashboard, where an AI agent will determine which theme camps they should visit next.
“The whole point is radical participation,” the spokesperson explained. “We’re simply making participation more measurable.”
The camp’s centerpiece will be a 40-foot LED server tower displaying real-time analytics on the population of Black Rock City. A second screen identify political and revolutionary dissidents in the crowd as a means of public humiliation and crowd-sourced strategic geolocation of potential enemies of the state.
Palantir says the installation is designed to complement Burning Man’s 2026 theme, Axis Mundi, which is Greek for ‘Trustafarians and Their Arm Candy”
Camp amenities will include complimentary electrolyte packets, biometric wristbands and a nightly workshop titled “Can You Truly Let Go If Your Data Is Being Retained Indefinitely?”
At sunrise, campers will gather for a ceremonial burning of a giant terms-of-service agreement.
Burners are encouraged to bring their own laptops, government IDs and philosophical objections.
Palantir insists the camp will collect no personal information.
“Unless it becomes strategically useful,” the spokesperson added.
The company also confirmed that all data collected during the event will be permanently deleted.
