SAN FRANCISCO — A Silicon Valley psychedelic startup has raised $80 million in venture capital to help people achieve profound personal transformations while becoming more comfortable with the socioeconomic and environmental conditions responsible for their existential suffering.
The company, EgoSoft Therapeutics, announced Tuesday that its proprietary psilocybin-assisted therapy platform, Radical Acceptance™, would help patients process childhood trauma, dissolve limiting beliefs, and develop a healthier relationship with the crushing realization that their rent will continue increasing regardless of how many dimensions of consciousness they access.
“We believe psychedelics can fundamentally transform your relationship with reality,” said CEO Brett Holloway, speaking from a $10,000-a-night foreign-owned wellness retreat in Costa Rica. “Our goal is to help people realize that while they cannot control the system, they can control how they feel about participating in it.”
The company's Series B was led by several prominent venture capital firms, whose partners reportedly experienced profound ego dissolution during a private retreat before negotiating preferred equity terms.
EgoSoft's flagship treatment combines guided psilocybin sessions with personalized integration coaching, breathwork, and a proprietary artificial intelligence trained to reframe structural inequality as an opportunity for individual growth.
Patients who express anger about healthcare costs, stagnant wages, or environmental collapse are encouraged to explore whether these feelings reflect unresolved attachment to a particular vision of how the world should work.
The company is also developing an enterprise package to help corporations integrate psychedelic wellness into employee benefits, allowing workers to process burnout without disrupting quarterly productivity targets.
“We're not trying to change the world,” Holloway explained. “We're trying to help people stop expecting it to change.”
At press time, EgoSoft was reportedly exploring an IPO, with plans to use the proceeds to democratize access to radical acceptance through a tiered subscription model.
